it's only been a short time since ~

Attaches to a verb stem (-은/ㄴ 지) to state that little time has passed since an event began; used to explain that something is still new or recent.

Examples

저는 한국에 온 지 얼마 안 되었어요.
It hasn't been long since I came to Korea.
이 카페는 생긴 지 얼마 안 됐는데 벌써 유명해졌다.
This cafe has only recently opened, but it's already become famous.
그는 회사에 입사한 지 얼마 안 돼서 아직 서툴다.
He hasn't been at the company for long, so he's still not very skilled.
