   An expression used to indicate the speaker's commitment to accomplish the following statement, although the speaker must overcome the extreme situation mentioned in the preceding statement.

   앞에 오는 말이 가리키는 극단적인 상황을 극복해서라도 뒤의 내용을 이루겠다는 의지를 나타내는 표현.

   ※ ‘있다’, ‘없다’, 동사 또는 ‘-으시-’ 뒤에 붙여 쓴다.

• 과거 우리의 어머니들은 굶는 한이 있어도 아이들은 학교에 보내셨다.

  In the past, our mothers sent their children to school even if it meant going hungry themselves.

• 아르바이트를 하는 한이 있어도 공부는 계속하겠다는 승규의 의지에는 변함이 없다.
