   (formal, moderately addressee-lowering) A sentence-final ending used when the speaker talks about something that he/she personally experienced.

   (예사 낮춤으로) 말하는 사람이 이전에 직접 경험한 사실을 말함을 나타내는 종결 어미.

   ※ 주로 구어에서 쓴다.

Examples

• 친구들이 대학교 졸업을 하고 나니 통 연락이 없데.

  Once my friends graduated from college, I noticed they stopped keeping in touch at all.

• 잘못한 사람이 나한테 더 화를 내니 참 기가 막히데.

  The person who was in the wrong got angrier at me, and I found it absolutely absurd.

• 어쩜 민준이는 옛날이나 지금이나 얼굴이 그대로데?

  How is it that Minjun's face looks exactly the same as it did back then?

• 아직 출근 시간도 아닌데 너희 형은 벌써 집을 나서데?

  It's not even time to leave for work yet, and I saw your brother already heading out?

• 요즘 유행하는 감기에 걸려 보니 잘 낫지도 않고 참 무섭데.

  Having caught the cold that's going around lately, I found it doesn't go away easily and is quite scary.

• 쉰 살이 훨씬 넘었는데 학생이라고 불리니 기분이 이상하데.

  I'm well over fifty, but being called a student felt strange.
