   An expression used to guess that the preceding statement is the cause or reason for the following statement.

   앞에 오는 말이 뒤에 오는 말의 원인이나 이유일 것 같다고 추측할 때 쓰는 표현.

Examples

• 눈이 내려서인지 바닥이 얼어 있었다.

  Maybe because it had snowed, the ground was frozen.

• 승규는 막내이어서인지 가끔 철없이 굴었다.

  Maybe because he's the youngest, Seunggyu sometimes acted a bit immature.

• 밥을 잘 안 챙겨 먹어서인지 머리가 어지러웠다.

  Maybe because I haven't been eating properly, I felt dizzy.

• 저 아이가 지수네 딸이래. 지수네가 키가 커서인지 딸도 키가 크네.

  They say that kid is Jisu's daughter. Maybe because Jisu's family is tall, her daughter is tall too.

• 아침 일찍 가서인지 백화점에는 사람들이 별로 없었다.

  Maybe because I went early in the morning, there weren't many people at the department store.

• 기분이 좋아서인지 오늘은 야근을 해도 피곤하지가 않다.

  Maybe because I'm in a good mood, I don't feel tired even though I'm working overtime today.
