-을 거예요

will ~ (I think/plan)

The spoken, polite counterpart of -을 것이다; attaches to a verb stem to express a plan, intention, or a guess about the future, and is one of the first future forms taught at beginner level.

Examples

  • 저는 이번 주말에 친구를 만날 거예요.

    I'm going to meet a friend this weekend.

  • 내일은 비가 올 거예요.

    It will probably rain tomorrow.

  • 저녁에는 집에서 쉴 거예요.

    I'll rest at home in the evening.
