-을 생각이다

thinking of ~ing / planning to ~

Attaches to a verb stem to describe what someone is thinking about doing; similar to -을 계획이다 but slightly less firm, expressing an intention still being considered.

Examples

  • 저는 내년에 유학을 갈 생각이다.

    I'm thinking of studying abroad next year.

  • 이번 주말에는 집에서 푹 쉴 생각이에요.

    I'm planning to rest at home this weekend.

  • 그는 회사를 그만두고 창업할 생각이라고 했다.

    He said he's thinking of quitting his job and starting a business.
