Attaches to a verb stem with the nominalizer 것 to state that an action or attitude matters most of all, above every other consideration; formal, used in advice-giving essays and speeches.

Examples

  • 건강을 지키기 위해서는 규칙적으로 자는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다.

    To protect your health, sleeping regularly is more important than anything.

  • 아이를 키울 때는 부모가 믿어 주는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다.
