-어 죽다

to death (extremely) ~

Attaches to an adjective stem, often with -겠-, as a casual exaggeration meaning a feeling is so strong it is unbearable; common in informal spoken Korean.

Examples

  • 아까부터 배고파 죽겠어요.

    I've been starving to death since earlier.

  • 오늘따라 너무 피곤해 죽겠다.

    I'm so exhausted today I could die.

  • 그 이야기가 웃겨 죽는 줄 알았어요.

    That story was so funny I thought I'd die laughing.
